REPTiS, AVANTiS and EURO-TITAN Titanium Value Chain Workshop
“Understanding the Titanium Value Chain:
indispensable for high quality and traceable applications”
The REPTiS project is pleased to announce the EURO-TITAN, REPTiS and AVANTiS Joint Workshop, taking place during the Euro PM2026 European Congress and Exhibition on Powder Metallurgy in Budapest, Hungary.
Join us on 14 October 2026 08:30–15:30 for this dedicated free-of-charge workshop, held as part of the programme of Euro PM2026. The event will bring together experts and stakeholders from across the titanium value chain to explore innovative solutions supporting a more sustainable, resilient, and competitive European titanium ecosystem.
EURO-TITAN, REPTiS and AVANTiS are three Horizon Europe projects working towards strengthening the EU’s resilience in the field of titanium, a Critical Raw Material of strategic importance. While sharing a common objective, each project addresses different stages of the value chain, including raw material extraction, processing, advanced manufacturing, and resource recovery. Together, they contribute to securing a more sustainable and reliable titanium supply for Europe.
Understanding the Titanium Value Chain
Titanium plays a vital role in many of Europe’s most strategic industries, from aerospace and medical devices to advanced manufacturing and mobility. Yet, despite its mineral resources and expertise, Europe remains heavily dependent on external sources for titanium metal production.
This workshop will showcase innovative approaches to extraction, processing, manufacturing, and recovery that can help build a resilient and sustainable European titanium value chain. Together, the EURO-TITAN, REPTiS and AVANTiS projects are contributing to a stronger and more secure supply of this critical raw material for the future of European industry.

Workshop Focus and Objectives
The event will provide a comprehensive examination of the entire titanium value chain. Participants will explore strategies to reduce Europe’s import dependency through the low-carbon, responsible extraction of domestic resources, supporting a more resilient powder metallurgy sector.
The program is designed to develop personal skills and competencies through a series of lectures and panel discussions covering:
Mining and Resources: Exploitation of primary minerals and secondary resources.
Advanced Processing: Beneficiation challenges and “green” alternative processing methods.
Refining and Optimization: Transitioning from sponges to alloys and powders, alongside predictive maintenance and in-line process optimization.
Market and Sustainability: European market dynamics, closing the loop through recycling, and achieving a “Social License to Operate” (SLO) for European mining.

Target Audience and Registration
Whether you are a student, researcher, engineer, or industry professional, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the future of titanium supply chains and connect with experts from leading European initiatives.
Attendance is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Register using the link below to reserve your place:
